Description.
Chinese porcelain tibor with stylized form, high shoulders and domed lid. Around the body and on the lid are oval relief cartouches filled with two peonies, set vertically and surrounded by leaves, in underglaze cobalt blue glaze. The registers are framed by a line of leaves. Above the neck is a band of peonies. The style of these floral designs and arrangement comes from the Kangxi period. On the base is a leaf within a double circle in underglaze blue. It has a blow in the mouth, with a foul and a slight hair.
