A blue-glazed water pot with "anhua" decoration, Taibai zun, Kangxi period

A water bowl with 'anhua' decoration of three coiled dragon medallions showing through the blue enamel. This color 天蓝釉 (Tiānlán yòu) or high-temperature sky-blue enamel was created during the Kangxi period of the Qing dynasty. This color is achieved with little cobalt and metallic elements such as copper, iron and titanium. The interior and base are enameled white.

The shape rests on a circular base from which rises a vault that culminates in a narrow, open mouth. On the base is a Kangxi mark '大清康熙年制' of six characters in underglaze blue.
