Description.
Ceramic vase with a slender shape reminiscent of tall-necked vases, but with two ear-shaped handles, one on each side of the neck, giving it an amphora-like appearance. The foot is circular and slightly flared. The body is covered by a "Geyao" style glaze with grayish and earthy tones with an elegant crackle.
During the Qing dynasty, pieces of this style were made, as a tribute to Song and Jun ceramics, in the imperial kilns with the seal of the Yongzheng and Qianlong emperors, called "仿哥窑釉" (imitation Ge kiln brother glaze) . In the center of the base there is a square mark, in underglaze blue "大清乾隆年制" (Dà qīng qiánlóng nián zhì).
Height: 24.50 cm; Mouth diameter: 5.20 cm; Base diameter: 8.20 cm
Provenance: European private collection.
