A lacquered figure of "Guanyin", Ming dinasty.

Lacquered and gilded bronze. The figure of Guanyin is seated with a serene expression in the dhyanasana posture. Her hands are holding attributes. Using her raised hand she carries a willow stem and her hand possed on her lap she holds a cup. She wears a ceremonial robe, a beaded necklaces, and earrings. On the head she wears a crown, formed by foliage with a figure in the center. The headdress is made with a knot.
