A turquoise-ground "Birds" tianqiuping, Qing dynasty

Porcelain bottle vase, shape 天球瓶 (tiānqiú píng), compossed by a globular container, without foot, under a high and stylized neck. It is enamelled on the outside with an interlocking pattern of yellow cherry blossoms along with swallows on a turquoise blue background. The rim is decorated with a gold ring and the interior is white glazed, as is the base, which features a six-character Qianlong mark "大清乾隆年制" in underglaze blue in the center.
