Description.
Carved agate in a golden hue with subtle reddish flecks. It has a short elliptical base on which is placed the flat oval body, flanked by two decorative handles in relief in the form of beasts, and ending in a narrow mouth. The front face shows a central image of an archaic dragon, with an elongated, sinuous body, decorated with incised details, which is introduced through a hole in a disc or ‘Bi’. Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) or later.
