A white jade archer's ring with inscriptions. On the outside is a long Qianlong poem engraved: "响送秋声 / 夜兩长朝 / 来添得几 / 分凉。 乾隆御题", along with two seals. It is in very good condition.
This type of rings are placed on the pulling finger which is the thumb of the right hand to hook the string when practising archery. Over time they have become more decorative than functional.
