Bamboo libation cup with base, Qing dynasty.

Carved bamboo in the shape of a cup that widens at the top. It is carved on the outside and depicts a continuous scene with characters and a landscape. Cups of this type are characteristically carved from a single piece, using rich materials, although they were usually made from wood or bamboo for ornamental purposes. In very good condition with patina and on a carved wooden base.
