Description.
Blue and white "Dragon" bowl, China, Yongzheng-Qianlong (1723-1795)
Bowl shape with rounded edge - Decorated on the outside with five-clawed dragons, in blue enamel on a white background, framed by a double circle. Surrounding the dragons are flames, ocean waves, and clouds. No decoration inside.
At the base it presents a four-character mark in underglaze blue within a double square that indicates: "zhiyuan tang zhi" may be translated as "Made for the Far Distant Hall"
