Description.
Modelled porcelain with underglaze decoration in blue and white. It has a narrow circular base and a deep body with a rounded profile. It is decorated on the outside with three successive bands, two of them showing the sinuous waves of a raging sea, and the third, in the centre, with a floral pattern of scrolls and curved stems of lotus blossoms. Inside, there is a central medallion of waves and clouds, accompanied by a fine border of lotuses and fruit. On the base is a six-character seal inscribed in a double circle ‘大明宣德年制’.
