Description.
A blue-and-white glazed porcelain vessel. It has a circular base and a flaring body that widens at the mouth. The exterior is decorated with a continuous scene of a large, ferocious dragon flying over a raging sea surrounded by a sky of sinuous clouds. On one side, beneath a decorative border of geometric motifs, is a six-character signature ‘大明宣德年制’. It shows age damage and wear. Ming dynasty (1368-1644) or later.
