Description.
Porcelain decorated with blue and white underglaze glaze. It has a short circular foot and a deep body, wider at the level of the mouth. The interior is decorated with a central medallion depicting the image of a ferocious, five-clawed dragon with gaping jaws, large eyes, sharp fangs and a serpentine body covered with scales. The beast stands on a sea of thin clouds, chasing a flaming pearl. The same image is repeated on the outside of the plate. On the base is a six-character mark ‘大清光绪年制’.
