Description.
A porcelain dish with underglaze blue decoration. It has a circular shape with rounded sides and shallow rims.
The rims and interior are decorated with the central image of a large dragon with a serpentine body, flying among clouds and sinuous flames in an attempt to catch a flaming pearl. The same image is repeated in the outline of the inner and outer borders of the piece. On the base, inscribed in a decorative band of geometric motifs that adorns the foot, is a six-character seal ‘大清道光年制’.
Height: 4.6 cm; Diameter: 25 cm
