Blue and white porcelain tibor “Scenes in garden”, Qing Dynasty

Chinese white porcelain tibor with underglaze cobalt blue decorations. It has a rounded profile with broad shoulders tapering towards the base and a domed lid. 

The short neck and base are decorated with a succession of ruyis and ornamental elements. On the lid there are small children that seem to dance among the rocks. The body shows a scene, framed by the characteristic double blue circle, of ladies and children playing in a large garden which is divided by a large lake. 

It presents a later modification on the base.
