Bowl with wavy rim "famille rose", Qing dynasty

Porcelain bowl with a "pink family" enameled exterior, decorated with garlands reminiscent of European-style ornament designs with Chinese elements.

The mouth of the bowl is wavy like a flower and below is a border of scales with six lotus flowers, spread over the band. Pearly lace and auspicious elements such as lotus flowers, golden characters and pairs of fish hang from this border. Above the foot is a line of fretwork supporting six structures with ruyi heads that are decorated in gold. On the base is a square mark, done in underglaze blue, Qianlong "大清乾隆年制".
