Description.
A small gilt-bronze box with a circular, flattened body and rounded profile. Covered with an elegant cloisonné enamelling, with a vibrant blue background, on which is a central medallion of a lotus in blossom, surrounded by two borders of scrolls and lotuses alternating with the eight auspicious treasures or ‘Asta-mangala’, four on the lid and four on the body. On the gilt-bronze base is an incised five-character seal ‘乾隆年制 本’.
