Description.
A large bronze tripod censer with a lid. On three thick, curved legs is a circular body decorated with a small scene depicting small birds under a flowering trunk. On either side are two large flat handles in the shape of a sinuous dragon. The mouth remains covered by a concave openwork lid, which has at the top the free-standing figure of a foo dog, reclining on its hind legs, with its tail curled and its head turned to the left, with its mouth open. Possible 20th century.
