Description.
Bronze figure. It shows the Buddha seated, cross-legged in dhyanasana on an elliptical lotus throne. The expression is one of serenity, with half-open eyes, a gentle smile and long ears framing the face. The arms are placed close to the body, with the right hand on the lap and the left hand in front of the belly, the palm facing upwards, looking towards the sky. The deity is dressed in a fine tunic covering his lower part, adorned with auspicious characters in bas-relief. It shows age-related wear and loss of the upper part of the head. Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) or post-Ring dynasty.
