Description.
Made of bronze with patina. The patina shows traces of polychromy and gilding. It depicts a Buddha guardian, 'Weituo' (Skanda in Sanskrit), of Buddhist temples and monasteries. They wear traditional Chinese full armour befitting Chinese warrior heroes and a celestial scarf. They are often placed at the corners of the altars at the respective cardinal points.
