Description.
Bronze figure in the form of a bird, with wings tucked up, long tail and turned head, resting on the body. Covered with archaic decorations of patterns, spirals, feathers and fine gold or gold-foil settings. It shows signs of oxidation and patina from ageing. Tang Dynasty (618 - 906) or later.
