Description.
A brown jade carving in the form of a bead, with a circular profile and a flat top and bottom, pierced by a hole for a string. The exterior is profusely decorated with details of spirals and incised lines, archaically representing “太阳神”, also known as the Sun God in Chinese culture. It shows age-wear. Neolithic (ca. 6000 - 2000 BC) or later.
