Carved jade 'bi' plaque, Western Han dynasty

A white jade disc-shaped plaque, decorated on both sides with reliefs. In the centre is an openwork representation of a mythological bird. The disc is decorated with spirals, "谷纹" grain pattern in relief, and above it a handle formed by two heads. In good condition with signs of wear, patina and pigment.
