Description.
Light-coloured jade with subtle ochre-gold flecks. It has the shape of a ‘bi’ disc, with a narrow profile and a circular base, with a central hole in which is set the openwork image of an archaic dragon with a coiled body. The perimeter of the disc is covered with a pattern of small spirals. The upper area is crowned by two mirrored phoenixes, joined by the curved beak and forelegs. It shows wear and patina from antiquity. Han Dynasty (AD 206 - AD 220) or later.
