Description.
A one-piece carved jade figure in ochre tones with reddish patinas produced by antiquity. It depicts a goose with a stylized neck and a head turned backwards, with piercing eyes and a slightly half-open beak. The wings are spread out and are arranged upwards in the opposite direction to the head, giving great dynamism to the composition. The tail, composed of delicate feathers, stands out for its great realism, as do the small legs, which curl downwards in a curved line. The artisan's superb craftsmanship is particularly noteworthy, as he has skilfully executed delicate incised decorations. Western Han Dynasty (206 BC-8 AD).
