Description.
Light toned jade carved in one piece. It shows an upright monk, with his legs slightly open forming a subtle contrapposto. The head, flanked by two ears with elongated lobes and combed with a high bun, is tilted to one side, looking to the right, with a serene expression. The arms are linked at chest level in “anjali mudra” and the body is draped in traditional robes of light and airy texture.
