Description.
White jade with slight reddish flecks. Carved in the shape of a beast, it has a robust body, crouching on bent legs, with a long curled tail. On either side of the torso, wings are tucked up. The expression is fierce, with large open eyes and the jaws revealing sharp fangs. Han Dynasty (206 BC - 220 AD) or later.
