Carved jade figurine ‘Character’, Qing dynasty

A small jade figure depicting an upright man with an affable expression, dressed in traditional garb. A long robe adorned with geometric patterns and auspicious characters covers his entire body, while a conical hat crowns his head. His hands, placed together at chest level, hold a thick curling rope from which hangs a Chinese coin with incised characters.
