Description.
Carved jade, of a soft greenish hue with reddish and brownish flecks. It shows the massive figure of a reclining quail, with large wings tucked close to the body and the head raised, slightly inclined, ending in a short, curved beak. It is covered with incised and relief details of elaborate plumage, executed in great detail. Set on a carved wooden base in the form of a nest.
