Description.
Carved jade figure depicting "Dapeng Garuda" (大鹏金翅鸟) a bird-winged deity. He is shown standing with a bird-like face, ears, crest, bulging chest, prominent belly, serpentine tail and claws. The details are very well rendered. The jade is natural, untreated, and has a light green hue with brown patina due to age.
Attached is a "Certificate of Jade Identification".
Provenance: Important collection of Tommy Lam, Hong Kong, since 1980.
