Description.
Jade carved with patina and pendant shape representing a coiled dragon. This type of dragons have large round eyes under pointed ears.
Such ornaments were worn by the elite of the Hongshan culture, whose splendor arose in northeastern Neolithic China, to represent status. Similar objects have been discovered at sites in this area, excavated during the 20th century.
