Carved jade of a greenish hue with reddish and ochre stains. It shows two mythical beasts, arranged one on top of the other like a totem pole. The dragon is positioned at the bottom, its body reclining on bent legs, its head raised and looking straight ahead, showing its sharp fangs, beneath which is a long beard. The phoenix stands on its back, with its wings tucked in, and its head also raised, ending in a sharp curved beak.
