Description.
A light-coloured carved jade plaque with mottled patches of reddish or amber. It is rectangular, with rounded edges, and one side shows an image of an old man reclining on a sea of sinuous waves under a sky of curling clouds. On the back, a poem in relief is inscribed in a rounded cartouche with a frame of waves and clouds, along with a two-character seal ‘文玩’. With customised box.
