Description.
Carved white jade, subtle reddish flecks. It has a short rectangular base, on which is shown the free-standing figure of a mythological beast ‘Dragon’, in a threatening posture, with a crouching body, bent hind legs on which rests the leafy, curled tail, and a large head with a fierce expression, which with its open jaws shows its sharp fangs. At the bottom is an eight-character seal ‘曾存定府行有恒堂’. Qing dynasty (1644-1912) or later.
