Description.
Elegant and rare reddish-coloured jade, with subtle amber-coloured flecks, with a shiny and intense finish. It has the shape of a man, archaic in style, with an elongated, triangular head, adorned with large, open eyes and an elongated nose. The body is recumbent and the arms are joined at the level of the belly.
The reddish patina that covers the stone is of great value in Chinese culture and is a result of the age of the material. It also has trace elements in its composition that accentuate the colour through natural erosion processes. Neolithic period (ca. 6000 - 2000 AD) or later.
Size: 7.7 x 2.4 x 3.6 cm
