Description.
A carved wooden box, square-shaped and profusely decorated. In the centre, the character 'Shóu' surrounded by four bats can be seen in relief, set against a background of incised geometric motifs and surrounded by leaf scrolls. On the four sides of the box there are roleos with a lotus flower in the centre and small blossoming buds in bas-relief on the sides. Qing Dynasty (1644 and 1912)
It shows patina due to ageing of the piece.
