Carved wooden folding screen, China, Qing Dynasty.

It is composed of carved wooden panels depicting scenes with an apprentice and a craftsman under various trees. Other panels have scenes with flowers and birds, Chinese treasures and geometric elements. It presents 30 panels divided between 5 horizontal registers. And a continuous panel at the bottom. On the back there is a hand-woven silk fabric with ancient Chinese characters written in ink on the reverse. The frame is also carved.
