Celadon-glazed Longquan ceramic bowl, Song dynasty or later

Flower-shaped bowl made of porcelain and celadon green-blue glaze. The shape is tall with a wavy edge, like petals. A ring protrudes below the edge and another just below, next to the foot. The glaze is thinner at the mouth and thicker at the bottom.

Provenance: Private European collection, France. Acquired by the current owner in 1981 in Toulouse from the private collection of Mr. Gerard Pasquier. A photograph from the time is shown.
