Description.
Modelled ceramic in the form of a beautiful stag lying on its bent legs, with its head erect, turned towards the back and crowned with sharp antlers. It is set on a rectangular base, decorated with craggy mountains in relief. The piece is covered with a beautiful celadon glaze with ochre and reddish flecks. Hutian Kiln, Song dynasty (960-1279) or later.
