Ceramic "hulu" vase, Jingdezhen, "Dui cai".

Ceramic vase with octagonal profile and gourd or hulu shape. The decoration is made with thick lines of "Dui cai" (堆彩) glazes in red, blue and orange that are textured in relief. There are depicted two scenes with phoenixes on a cartouche base and separated by double-lined borders. The figures are filled by gilding and on a light blue background.
