Chinese jade vase with lid and wood pedestal, 20th century

Carved jade figure forming a traditional reticulated design of branches, clouds and "chilong" dragons. The top lid is detached from the body, but the design fits perfectly. It is held in place by a carved wooden stand, which has four short legs supporting a drum with openwork panels, a line of petals, and finally a border of fretwork.
