Chinese painting "Sages and scriptures", Qing dynasty

Ink, pigments and watercolour on paper, with brocade frame. Depicts a scene with five wise men and their servants, in the background, in front of their worshippers, set in a landscape on a large mountain with large trees. In the upper half are two poems with seals. The one on the left indicates "阮元" (Ruan Yuan) a historical figure of the Qing dynasty nicknamed Yuntai.
