Description.

Chinese inkwell made of papier-mâché lacquered with gilding. Body and lid are decorated with Chinese scenes in gilding on a black background. Base and barrel are indivisible. With glass ink cup. Shows wear and tear due to age.

Height: 5.6 cm; Diameter: 15 cm

Provenance: Writing Museum of Valencia, Spain.
