Description.
Box to keep jade rings or other materials, made of carved red cinnabar lacquer. It is decorated on the outside with reliefs of flowers, spirals and bouquets. The shape is almost square, with a lobed rim and a flat lid. The interior has six extensions to insert the pieces and is lined with a blue silk damask. The inside of the lid shows a long inscription in gilt, partially worn. On the reverse is a mark written "大清乾隆年制" (Dà qīng qiánlóng nián zhì) in red.
