Complete set of twelve cups with flowers, 20th century

Complete series of twelve "monthly flower cups" made in porcelain, with enamelled decoration, over glaze, and blue, under glaze. The silhouette of each of the twelve cups starts at a circular base that rises in a rounded shape to widen at the mouth. On the base they have a mark "大清康熙年制" (Dà qīng kāngxī nián zhì) within a double circle and in underglaze blue. In very good condition. 

This type of cup sets were introduced for the best Qing imperial porcelain collections. The "twelve months" flower cups are characterized by depicting twelve different flower branches which are: winter jasmine, apricot, peach, peony, peony, pomegranate, lotus, orchid, sweet osmanthus, chrysanthemum, Chinese rose, plum and narcissus. The poems on the back of the objects are taken from ancient poems that value the properties of these flowers.
