Dingyao ‘Lotus’ glazed porcelain dish, Song dynasty

This porcelain is modelled in the form of a dish, with a narrow circular foot on which is a wide base surrounded by a flat rim that widens at the level of the mouth. It is covered with a beautiful white ‘Dingyao’ glaze and decorated inside with sgraffito details of curved blossoming lotus branches. Ding kiln, Song dynasty (960-1279) or later.
