Description.
A lidded ‘Doucai’ porcelain jar with underglaze blue and overglaze coloured enamel decorations set on a pristine white background. It shows a central image of a traditional dragon, with a serpentine body covered with scales and sturdy five-clawed legs, accompanied by a poem. The image is framed by two decorative borders of coloured petals and branch scrolls. The base is inscribed ‘天’.
