Description.
Porcelain enamelled in the wucai 五彩 technique in five colours of overglaze glaze and underglaze blue.
The form is supported on a narrow circular foot that rises to the open rim. In the centre is a frieze filled with dragons chasing flaming pearls, interspersed with phoenix figures. The borders are divided by lines of blue. Below the mouth is a band with ruyi and Buddhist symbols. On the base is a six-character mark in underglaze blue '大清乾隆年制' (Dà qīng qiánlóng nián zhì) on the base.
