Description.
Jadeite carved in a single piece, white and deep green in colour, with amber-reddish flecks. It has an ascending rectangular structure, on which is placed the image of the head of an imposing dragon, meticulously carved. The mythological beast, set on a cluster of curling clouds, has a thick head with rounded eyes, a broad snout, elongated horns and thin whiskers. On the base is a four-character seal in bas-relief ‘田舍主人’. Qing dynasty (1644-1912) or later.
