Enamelled ceramic bowl ‘Characters’, with Qing mark

Ceramic modelled in the form of a bowl with a semi-circular body and a narrow foot with rounded edges. It is decorated on the outside with coloured enamels on the glaze, which form a continuous scene of noble figures set in a beautiful garden. Inside, there is a central medallion framed by a double blue circle, showing a young nobleman in traditional dress seated at a table. On the base is a five-character seal ‘秦府典膳所’.
