Description.
A small porcelain mug enamelled in blue and white underglaze. It has a narrow circular foot and a curved body that widens towards the mouth. The exterior is decorated with a continuous image of sinuous intertwining branches of ruyis and fine leaves, framed by two lines at the mouth and foot. At the base is a six-character seal ‘大明嘉靖年制’.
